Eric Ditri was born and raised here in Prince George County. He was a public school student and graduated from Prince George High School. He joined Burrowsville Volunteer Fire Department as a cadet volunteer firefighter in high school as a way to serve his community and got his first look into politics and how the government operated. After high school, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of South Carolina. After graduation, he moved to Baltimore City for 6 years and learned about the challenges cities face. Along with the innovation and opportunities Baltimore had to offer, he saw the extreme crime, poverty, and homelessness that put everyone, especially children behind.
He has a small business background in construction and finance and has developed and built everything from cell phone towers to residential and commercial projects.
In 2018, he moved back home to his family’s farm in Prince George and learned the immense challenges that Virginia farmers face and the struggles associated with trying to launch a business. He now works as a loan officer for a Virginia-based mortgage company. Seeing families thrive and grow in his community fuels his passion for helping others.
It was after getting settled back home that he saw some of the same crime, poverty, and homelessness as in Baltimore riddling with his own community. Eric knows that we must work together to find sensible solutions to the issues facing our community and he is prepared to be the citizen leader for the 13th Senate District that is sorely needed.
